RUSSELLVILLE, Ark. – The Great American Conference announced its 15th GAC men’s track & field athletes of the week winners. Oklahoma Baptist’s Dwayne Fleming received the track award and Southern Arkansas’ Dwayne Fleming garnered the field accolade.

#theGAC TRACK ATHLETE OF THE WEEK – Dwayne Fleming, Jr., Oklahoma Baptist, Antigua & Barbuda
Fleming ran the fifth-fastest 100-meter dash in Division II this year after he clocked a personal-best time of 10.11 seconds at the Emporia State Relays. He finished second overall, first amongst DII runners. He ran the second leg of the 4×400-meter relay. The team finished second with a time of 3:08.73, the seventh-fastest time in DII.

#theGAC FIELD ATHLETE OF THE WEEK – Jericho Gamble, Fr., Southern Arkansas, Mineral Springs, Arkansas
Gamble competed in three field events at the Dan Veach Invitational. He collected his first-ever event wins in the shot put and discus. He established a personal best in the shot put with a top effort of 15.98 meters. He won the discus by almost five meters. He added a fifth-place showing in the hammer courtesy a top throw of 42.61 meters.
