Allen “Dale” D. Loggains, 79, passed away on May 8, 2026, at his home in Poteau, Oklahoma. Dale was born on March 4, 1947, in Poteau, Oklahoma to parents Roy and Imogene (Kirkley) Loggains. Dale was in the fiber optics business for over 35 years, where he oversaw and ran a large number of crews. His work ethic was one to admire. He loved to work. In his younger years, he loved to hunt and fish, but his biggest love of all was to have his family together, no matter if it was for a huge family cookout, or just to sit and visit. Last year, he rededicated his life to the Lord, and his light shown through that love. He was a tremendous giver in all forms. Matthew 6:3
Dale is survived by his wife of 57 years Jo Ann of the home, his son Jody Loggains and wife Sue Ann of Wister, Oklahoma, his daughter Sonya Thompson and husband Bill of Poteau, Oklahoma, his grandchildren Salena McConnell and husband Travis of Poteau, Oklahoma, Jeremiah Loggains of Wister, Oklahoma, and Trevor Thompson of Poteau, Oklahoma, along with many other family members and friends.
The Celebration of Life Services for Dale will be held 10am – Tuesday, May 12, 2026, Church of God Seventh Day 606 Ryan Street Wister Oklahoma with Pastors Chip Hinds and Travis McConnell officiating and burial to follow at Oakland Cemetery in Poteau, Oklahoma. The Family of Dale Loggains will greet friends from 6pm – 8pm on Monday, May 11, 2026, at The Cedars on Dewey 520 Dewey Ave Poteau, Oklahoma. Casket bearers will be Jody Loggains, Bill Thompson, Jeremiah Loggains, Trevor Thompson, Travis McConnell, and Logan Ellis. Honorary Casket bearers will be Dustin Loggains, Todd Loggains, and Joey Loggains.
