Deloris was born on October 2, 1945, in Sallisaw, Oklahoma, to Loreda C. (Woods) Southern and Willard J. Southern. She passed away on May 13, 2026, in Spiro, Oklahoma.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Willard and Loreda Southern; her husband, David Wayne Walls; and her brothers, James Southern and David Southern.
Deloris enjoyed quilting, sewing, and making blankets for those she loved. She also enjoyed canning and took great pleasure in placing her Walmart pickup orders when that service became available. Above all, her grandchildren were the center of her world and brought her immense joy. She was known for her love of people and her nurturing character. Deloris lovingly cared for many generations of her family, as well as twenty-eight foster children throughout her life. She was a women of faith and enjoyed reading her bible.
Survivors include her daughters, Cindy Walls, Sandra Tustin and husband Larry, and Dayna Cochran and husband Orion; her sons, Danny Walls and wife Vickie, and Donnie Walls and wife Dina; her sister, Margaret Southern; grandchildren, Karee, Natalie, Mandy, Mary, Michael, Chris, Andy, Emilee, Shane, Ryan, Jacob, Amelia, and Brandi; sixteen great-grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren; along with numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives, and loved ones.
