A Doughnut with a Cop event took place on Tuesday July 7, 2026, at the Wister Branch of the Community State Bank to Welcome Back Chief Andy Thompson who had been recovering from injuries he sustained in a shooting in April that took the life of LeFlore County Deputy Walker LeMay.
Off the Rails Coffee Shop in Wister provided the coffee for the event.
Chief Thompson also served as the Grand Marshall for the Wister 4th of July Parade last Saturday.
