There are nine sessions left taking place twice a month through November. Each session will cover a different topic to encourage focused discussions that can inform future education policy in Oklahoma:
July 28: Student Behavior, Discipline, and Violence
August 11: Tech & AI
August 25: School Scheduling
September 8: Support Employees
September 22: Testing
October 6: Administration
October 20: Academic Counseling & Graduation
November 3: Alternative Education & Alternative Placements
November 17: Accreditation & Standards
Public school employees can register for these sessions through this Microsoft form. Those who register will be notified via email if they are selected to participate. Those selected will receive a link to a Microsoft Teams Meeting where the session is held.
Participants will also receive a list of optional questions related to the listening session to help guide them as they share their insight and perspectives.
The listening session will be divided into two parts. The first half of the session will go over any included questions and allow participants the opportunity to respond to as few or as many as they choose.
The second half of the session will be more conversational, allowing legislators to ask any remaining questions and giving participants an opportunity to share insight not already covered.
