Celebration of Life services for Lesley Dale Dugan, 72, of Spiro, Oklahoma, will be held at a later date. Cremation is under the direction of Mallory-Martin Funeral Home in Spiro, Oklahoma.

Lesley was born on September 24, 1953, in Fort Coffee, Oklahoma, to Evelyn (Boatner) Steele and Earnest Steele, Sr. She passed away on August 14, 2026, in Spiro, Oklahoma, at the age of 72.

Lesley loved God and treasured her family above all else. Her children and grandchildren were truly her life, and there was nothing that brought her greater joy than spending time with those she loved. She adored each of them and cherished the memories they made together.

She enjoyed playing BINGO, Yahtzee, and Spades and was always ready for a good game. Dale also loved watching movies and television, especially Westerns and movies based on true stories. She worked at a Rice Mill in Houston, Texas for 10 years in the 70’s. Her love for God, devotion to her family, and the joy she found in life’s simple pleasures will be fondly remembered by all who knew and loved her.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Evelyn and Earnest Steele, Sr.; sisters, Asleen Steele, Joyce Steele, and Letha Mae Steele; and brother, Louis Manning.

Dale is survived by her husband, Robert Dugan; daughter, Awondrail Steele Simpson and husband Jeffrey; son, Omeyell Steele and friend Laura Smith; grandchildren, Te’Kyevius Clayton, Zehndreik Clayton, Lilliana Steele, and Ameliah Steele; great-grandchildren, Kingston Clayton and Stetson Clayton; sisters, Faye Abdullah and Mareen Evans; brothers, Earnest Steele, Jr. and Chester Steele; her best friends,  April Spears, Carolyn Mills;  numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives, and loved ones.
