Launch of Not One Mor Campaign

The Oklahoma First Responder Wellness Division (OKFRWD), in partnership with first responder agencies and community organizations from across Oklahoma, announces the official launch of Not One Mor, a statewide campaign focused on suicide prevention and strengthening wellness and support systems for Oklahoma first responders, retirees, and their families.

Not One Mor represents Oklahoma’s commitment to not lose one more first responder to suicide. The intentional spelling of “Mor” – with the missing “e” – represents the absence left behind each time a first responder dies by suicide and is intended to help open conversations about an issue that has too often remained unspoken.

“This campaign is about more than awareness. It is about creating lasting change in how Oklahoma supports the men and women who spend their careers serving others,” said Chance Tuttle, Director of the Oklahoma First Responder Wellness Division.

At the heart of the campaign is a 15-year retrospective study of first responder suicide in Oklahoma. The study will establish a more accurate, Oklahoma-specific understanding of first responder suicide by reviewing cases and cross-referencing information with partner agencies to better identify current and former first responders.

The findings will help Oklahoma identify trends and areas of greatest need, strengthen prevention efforts, guide future training, and provide state leaders with reliable data to inform resources and policies supporting first responder wellness.

The September launch is only the beginning. Not One Mor will extend statewide through suicide prevention and wellness training, educational resources, referral pathways, testimonial videos, public awareness initiatives, and practical tools that agencies can implement within their own organizations.

“Not One Mor is a commitment. We want every first responder in Oklahoma – from the academy through retirement – to know that their life matters, their wellness matters, and help is available,” said Stacey R. Blaylock, LCSW, Clinical Director of the Oklahoma First Responder Wellness Division.

This initiative is being led by OKFRWD in collaboration with the Office of the Chief Medical Examiner (OCME), Oklahoma State Bureau of Investigation (OSBI), Oklahoma Highway Patrol (OHP), Oklahoma State Department of Health (OSDH), and nearly 20 additional agencies and organizations representing public safety, health, research, training, mental health, and community support.
