Frank was born on August 17, 1950, in San Antonio, Texas, to Bernice (Raines) Hopson and Frank Marion Hopson II. He passed away on October 6, 2026, in Bokoshe, Oklahoma.

On November 7, 1969, Frank married Carol (Price) Hopson in Poteau, Oklahoma. Together, they built a life centered around love, family, and the many memories they shared throughout their nearly 57 years of marriage.

Frank proudly served his country in the United States military and was a longtime member of the Vietnam Veterans Motorcycle Club. He spent his working years in the oil and gas field, dedicating his career to the industry before retiring.
Frank was a man who enjoyed working with his hands and had many interests throughout his life. He was an avid scuba diver and especially enjoyed woodworking and leatherworking. Whether he was creating something, working on a project, or enjoying one of his many interests, Frank brought his own special touch to everything he did.

Above all, Frank loved Jesus and knew Him as his Lord and Savior. His faith was an important part of his life, and he found comfort and strength in knowing that his eternal home was secure in Christ.

More than anything, Frank loved his family. He was a devoted husband and a loving dad, Papa, and “Old Papa.” His family truly meant everything to him, and few things brought him greater happiness than the time he spent surrounded by those he loved. The love he gave so freely and the memories he created with his children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren will continue to be treasured for generations.

Frank was preceded in death by his parents, Frank Marion Hopson, Jr and Bernice Hopson; and his grandson, Jonah Hopson.

Those left to cherish his memory include his wife, Carol Hopson; daughter, Angela Dawn White and husband Roy; sons, Michael Hopson and wife Carla, John Hopson and wife Janet, and Scott Hopson and wife Angel; sister, Patsy Kaye Porter and her son, Brandon; brothers, Troy Price and wife Ann, Billy Price and wife Cindy, Tommy Price and wife Theresa, and Dennis Price and wife Patricia; mother-in-law, Lucille Price; grandchildren, Megan, Jarrod, Aaron, Rebekah, Drew and wife Tapha, Jacob, Jordan, Bethany and husband  Joey, Tiffany and husband Versile, Averee, and Eden; great-grandchildren, Ryker, Kennox, Kyren, Shia, Kenai, Jace, Josiah, and Jaden; along with numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives, and many loved ones.

Honorary pallbearers will be Jacob White, Drew Hopson, Jordan White, and Aaron Hopson.
