According to the Oklahoma Highway Patrol, a one vehicle accident occurred at approximately 9:26pm on November 23, 2018 on State Highway 63, approximately one quarter mile east of Whitesboro in LeFlore County.
The accident occurred when a 2003 Chevy Pickup, driven by Anthony Guthrie, age 30, from Woodward was westbound on State Highway 63 and departed the roadway the right. The driver over-corrected to the left and struck a house.
The condition of the driver – drinking ability impaired, according to the report, and the cause of the collision is still under investigation.
Guthrie was transported by LeFlore County EMS to Mercy Hospital in Fort Smith and was listed in stable with a back injury.
