The Wister 5th & 6th Grade boys team coached by John Meeh and Chris Smith won the State Championship for a 2nd straight year.
The team plays in a week-end league in McAlester. Over the past 2 years they have gone 32-0 and finished with 2 state titles.
Team members include: Kord Fenton Poteau, Jagger Dodson Poteau, Reed Kauk Red Oak, Dartyn Meeks Wister, Tige Rogers Wister, Wesley Toney Monroe, Andrew Covey Howe, Garrett Smith Howe, & Joel Meeh Wister.
The team wears wrist bands with “13” on them in memory of team mate Behr Place who passed away two years ago in a 4-Wheeler accident.
