According to a report from the Oklahoma Highway Patrol, an 8-year-old male drowned in a private farm pond, approximately 100 yards east of Colbert, OK in Bryan County.
On August 7, 2019 at approximately 6:18pm the boy was swimming in a pond with his sister, when he went underwater, and never resurfaced.
His body was transported to the Oklahoma Medical Examiner’s Office in Oklahoma City.
The accident was investigated OHP Marine Enforcement, assisted by OHP, Colbert Police Department, Colbert Fire Department, and Bryan County EMS.
