The Poteau Chamber of Commerce welcomes McDonalds of Poteau with a ribbon cutting for their Re-Grand Opening and Ribbon Cutting. The Poteau location is one of the first in our area to have the new lobby design and to offer automated ordering.
McDonalds of Poteau owner, Jim Hadley, whose family own nine McDonalds throughout the area has remodeled the lobby of the Poteau McDonald adding Ordering Kiosks, Table Service, Mobile Ordering and Customer Pick-Up. In the near future, they will be adding an electronic menu board at the drive through similar to the one in the lobby.
“We haven’t had many people use the McDonalds app in this area, but it is catching on. A customer can place an order using the app and pay with their credit card. When they drive into the parking lot, the app signals the kitchen to prepare their order. They can bypass the drive through line and pull into the Curbside Parking and someone will bring their order to them. It doesn’t matter where you are when you order; the app will signal whichever restaurant location you pull into.” For example, you could order on your way to Ft. Smith and pick up your order at whichever McDonalds you pull into. This service would be great when you’re in a hurry and don’t want to wait in line at the drive through.
The addition of the kiosks and table service has meant McDonalds had to hire additional employees. There will always be at least one employee in the lobby to help with the kiosk and several employees will bring a customer’s order to the table. According to Tracy Gerlach, Poteau McDonalds manager, “We will always have someone to help you with your order. You can always order at the counter as well.”
KTCS Radio did a live remote during the grand-opening and gave away McDonalds gift cards of $25 each.
