Nelson Mobile RV repair

My name is Adam Nelson.  I am a U.S. Army Veteran. I served Active Duty as a UH-60 Black Hawk Helicopter Repairer.  After receiving an honorable discharge and starting a family in Nebraska, we soon began to struggle.  In 2013, we were having trouble finding a place to live.  We bought our first camper in Iowa and decided to RV around the country.

After learning a lot on our own Travel Trailer, I began to help others around me with theirs.  In the field of Recreational Vehicle repair, I was able to put to work my technical skills from the Army as well as a strong passion to serve others.  After working for a few RV dealerships from Texas to Arkansas, I was laid off on Veterans Day of 2015.

In 2016, with little job opportunities available, I started my own Mobile RV Repair service in Van Buren, AR.  The word quickly spread about my skills and abilities to repair RV's of all different types.  Serving so many RV'ers in the surrounding area allowed us to further expand our business. That year, we were able to afford a much-needed service trailer.  After just a few years and another move to Greenwood, AR we got yet another much larger service truck.

We have proudly served the Oklahoma/Arkansas area since 2016.  We are brand new to Wister, Oklahoma, as of 2020 and we look forward to serving our community!  Whether they are full time workers, folks out camping, or just passing through, we are here to help them enjoy their RV experience with their families!   We offer a 15% discount to Veterans, Military, and all Emergency Personnel.  As always, we offer 10% off to all return customers.

We can do most warranty, insurance, and extended warranty work.  We are an RV parts dealer as well.  We look forward to serving all the folks in our new community as well as the greater area!

Nelson Mobile RV Repair.

"We come to you with a price that's fair!"

Talihina Chamber of Commerce Receives Grant

The Talihina Chamber of Commerce and Visitors Center applied for and received a Kiamichi Electric Foundation Grant in the amount of $3,929.86 to be used to purchase new computers. software and a printer to be used at the visitors center.

The machines the office was using were older and very slow. One computer had vista and the others had windows 7 which is outdated and no longer supported by Microsoft.

The print head on the four in one printer that allowed us to print, copy, fax and scan went out. The printer was over 6 years old and it did a lot of work in that time period. It was almost $100.00 for a new print head for it and the printer was showing other problems. “These computers and the printer will allow Judy, Lavelle and I to be able to serve the area better” stated Talihina Chamber of Commerce, Director Vera Nelson. “They perform much faster and more efficiently than the old ones” she said. Thank you Kiamichi Electric Foundation so much for providing us with these new machines.

The new computers and printer will also be used to perform the duties of the Talihina Economic Development Initiative (TEDI). This organization works with the AARP Foundation. Judy Korten and Lavelle Rose train 18 hours a week at the visitors center. The AARP Foundation provides the funding for each of them.

For more information about the chamber, visitors center or TEDI, contact the Talihina Chamber of Commerce and Visitors Center at 918-567-3434 or email at chamber@talihinacc.com.
