Buy a brick for your dad this Father’s Day. Bricks sell regularly for $100.00 each, but during the Month of June you can purchase one or more for $50.00 each. Each brick will be engraved with what you choose (limited to four lines 15 characters for each line) and you will also receive a certificate that you can frame and keep. Now is the chance for your family to become a lasting part of Talihina’s History, by buying a commemorative brick to be displayed in a beautiful walkway at the Talihina Chamber of Commerce and Visitors Center.

The first of the bricks have been laid. Tanner Hotella and his wife Amanda, Sancie Bandy and Vera Nelson volunteered their time Saturday May 25th to lay the Commemorate Bricks that have already been purchased. Come by and see how beautiful they are.

Pave the way for a better community through the brick fundraising campaign sponsored by the Talihina Chamber of Commerce & Visitors Center. This will make a great gift for Father’s Day, a Birthday or any special occasion. Having your family name on a brick or buying one in honor of a loved one would be a nice tribute.

Putting your business name on a brick would be a long-lasting way of advertising. A brick would be a good way to get your nonprofit business or church noticed.

The Talihina Chamber of Commerce & Visitors Center brings a lot of visitors to our area which helps to support our town. We also have a gift shop that has unique items made by local artists. The center is well stocked with brochures, maps, and information on local events. All of our members can put flyers about events they have coming up as well as their business information at the center, the members are also listed on our website. We have several events throughout, the year.

Some of the events we sponsor are the Fall Foliage Festival, Bingo, Poker Run, Luncheons, and Dessert & Basket Auctions. When you buy a brick it helps support us so we can continue to help the community. If you haven’t been there yet you need to come by and check it out. It has a lot to offer.

If you would like to help contact the Talihina Chamber of Commerce & Visitors Center located at 201 First St., Talihina, OK 918-567-3434 or

The Poteau Chamber of Commerce welcomed new member River Valley Manufactured Homes with a ribbon cutting on Saturday, May 11,2019 during their grand opening.

River Valley Manufactured Homes is located 22226 Arnall Road in Poteau.

Founded by Brian, Britt, Kevin and Brandan Minks, River Valley Manufactured Homes is a manufactured homes dealer. They provide beautiful, custom single-wide and double-wide manufactured homes and deliver them to customers in Poteau and most towns within a 100-mile radius, including, but not limited to, Roland, Spiro, and Sallisaw, as well as nearby towns in Arkansas, including Fort Smith, Greenwood, and Mansfield, to name a few.

River Valley Manufactured Homes draw from years of both real estate and lending experience that allows them to specialize in "land & home" package deals, whereby the customer will have an opportunity to finance a plot of land along with a manufactured home, both offered by River Valley Manufactured Homes and its affiliates.

The Minks family sees this as a distinguishing component of their business that will separate them from much of the local competition, as this service will enable River Valley Manufactured Homes to offer homes to customers who don't yet have any land of their own.

"We've already received a ton of interest and an outpouring of incredible support from the local community’ said Brandan Minks.
