Labor Day has come and gone, which means it is the unofficial end to summer and time to break out the fall décor.
Some people go all in and go fall all the way now and some are kind of in that in-between spot where they aren’t quite ready to go all the way fall yet.
Are you looking for a way to find that sweet in-between spot?
Try these ideas:
• Layer accent pillows with hints of fall colors. Pair a base of neutral throw pillows with patterned styles in warm terracotta tones.
• Throw a table centerpiece together to include a combination of pheasant feathers, pinecones, Golden Rod and white pumpkins.
• If you are not quite ready to decorate the inside yet, start with the front porch by making it the perfect autumnal area. Add potted mums and a few pumpkins. If you have outdoor furniture, add a few fall-colored pillows and a cozy fall blanket.
• The fireplace isn’t just for fires. Although you are feeling fallish, the outside temps aren’t quite ready for a fire in the fireplace. Don’t be afraid to go outside the box by putting pillows and throws in baskets and arranging inside the fireplace.
• Swap out bright flowers for simple wheat stalks in clear vases. Place a couple of pinecones at the foot of the vase.
• Say goodbye to bright summer yellows and hello to cotton stems for a great pre-fall look.
Whatever your personality type is…full-on fall or pre-fall..embrace it and go for it. Maybe you want to do something different this year for a while, that’s okay. There is nothing written in stone that you have to decorate the exact same way for every season. Personally, I like to mix it up and use a lot of my same decorations, but in different ways. I love doing this because I feel like I am getting something new without spending any money. Mix it up and have fun doing your fall thing!
