I bet you’ve noticed all the beautiful flowers and trees blooming. I mean how could you not? Spring is definitely in the air although it seems like it’s a little early this year, but I don’t mind. All the gorgeousnous outside makes me want to do some spring sprucing inside.

I love this centerpiece for a dining table or kitchen island from “Our Southern Home’s” blog. Here’s what you need: A basket, vase, cotton or blooming stems, a bunny statue, faux eggs and a few pieces of your favorite spring-like china. All you need to do is place your basket in the desired location, add the cotton or blooming stems to the vase then add your bunny and finally add the eggs to fill in and nestle your china. This would also work well with a tray. Just use whatever you have on hand.

Another easy centerpiece idea is to utilize a tiered cake stand or appetizer tray. I love this one because it’s adorable and easy. Place sheet moss in the bottom of each tier, add a few faux eggs and finish off with candles. Make sure the candles are in glass containers or else you will burn the house down!

I’ve mentioned it before, but I’ll tell you again...I love blooming branches. My first pick, of course, is fresh, but that’s not always practical. Fortunately, there are some pretty amazing silk stems these days. For a modern, shabby chic look, place the stems in a less than perfect container. Something that is chipped or peeling paint will look the best.

Adding a touch of spring doesn’t have to be limited to just adding bunnies or flowers. Giving a piece of furniture like a sofa table a fresh paint color can do wonders for your home and soul. I love giving old things new life, which is precisely what we’ve done in the poolhouse. In my opinion, it’s more rewarding than buying new things. Speaking of the’s looking great! Ashton is putting away and hanging the last bit and we will have pictures next week!
