The Pervasive Parenting Center (C.P.R.C.) will host the On the Road Family Perspective Conference, provided by the Oklahoma Department of Human Services and Sooner Success. The event will be held Thursday, April 6, from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. This will be held at Carl Albert State College in Sallisaw, OK.

This one-day conference assists families in navigating a complex system. Everyone is welcome to attend, and the event is free. There will be a light breakfast available and lunch is provided, but you must register at

“When my son was first diagnosed I realized that in our area of the state the resources are limited and what is available most people don’t know about,” said Kodey Toney, director of the Pervasive Parenting Center, C.P.R.C. “What I found out is that there are some great organizations and resources available, but you have to find them. This is a great opportunity for parents, professionals, and educators to find out what is available to help their family members.”

The organizations will present what services they can offer, and answer any questions that audience members may have about their group. Included in the meeting will be someone representing (but not limited to) Partners in Policymaking, DDS Waiting List, Oklahoma Family Network, TEFRA, Social Security/Disabled Children’s Program, Department of Rehabilitation Services, Sooner Success Sibshops, DDS/OKDHS, TARC, Oklahoma State Department of Education, Sooner START, Oklahoma Parents Center, Oklahoma Disability Law Center, and Easter Seals of Oklahoma.
