“Between the exciting science experiments and the sweet local discount, National STEM Day is the perfect time to visit WonderWorks!” said Eric Smith, general manager at WonderWorks Branson. “Our whole team is gearing up for an unforgettable, scientific day.”
STEM focuses on the areas of science, technology, engineering, and mathematics. The national holiday pulls these topics into the spotlight to help encourage younger people to explore the areas and show ways they can put the information to use in everyday life, including in their careers, using the skills for critical thinking, and beyond. National STEM Day is held annually on November 8 around the country.
WonderWorks remains the go-to place in the Branson area to explore STEM topics in a fun and educational environment. To celebrate National STEM Day, WonderWorks Branson will be holding special experiments and activities throughout the day, giving guests a hands-on opportunity to explore and learn. The experiments are all included in with regular admission.
Guests can try their hand at origami in the party room all day long, and individual experiment sessions will include:
- 11 a.m. – Bed of Nails Demo
- 12:30 p.m. – Elephant Toothpaste
- 2 p.m. – DIY Lava Lamp
- 3:30 p.m. – Weather in a Jar
Local residents of Missouri and Arkansas are eligible for a special discount All Access ticket rate of only $16 plus tax per person on National STEM Day. Proof of identification will be required at the door to get the discounted rate.
After National STEM Day comes to a close and the lab coats are hung up, the celebrations continue at WonderWorks as the historic U.S. Route 66 reaches its 100th anniversary on November 11, 2026. WonderWorks Branson is commemorating the milestone of the highway, which stretches over 2,400 miles across eight states. The official birthplace of the famous highway is recognized as being Springfield, Missouri.
“WonderWorks is proud to call Missouri home! Route 66 is such an important part of our history, so it’s only fitting that we look back at its creation 100 years ago and share the story with our guests. You’ll want to come grab one of our cool graphic t-shirts before they’re gone!” said Eric Smith, general manager at WonderWorks Branson.
WonderWorks Branson offers guests the opportunity to learn more about Route 66 in the Cruisin’ 66 exhibit, which explores how it was founded, created, and the impact that the route had on providing people the ability to travel across the country. Visitors can check out the exhibit and then hop into the vintage Route 66 Chevrolet photo spot to capture a memory. WonderWorks also currently offers several Route 66 items in the gift shop, perfect for all collectors and travelers. Unique options include T-shirts, postcards, and more.
WonderWorks Branson will be offering a special ticket flash sale on November 11, 2026, to kick off the Route 66 anniversary celebration. Guests should sign up for the newsletter or keep an eye on their social media pages to snag the special deal.
