Alenora “Miss Ellie” Sumpter Rollison, 76, passed away on November 21, 2025, at her home surrounded by her family. Alenora was born on December 25, 1948, in Fanshawe, Oklahoma to parents Jay and Loeta (Wilson) Sumpter. Miss Ellie loved to sing and would sing karaoke every chance she could. She loved to live life to the fullest every day and would spend time with her family all she could. Miss Ellie was preceded in death by her parents, her husband James Rollison, the father of her children Roland Fountain, her brother Bobby Sumpter, her sisters Oradell Newby, Jonell Crandell, Jackqulyn Lucas, and Shirley Adams Ford, her great grandson Evan Luke Tolbert, and her special nephew Carlos Mann.
Miss Ellie is survived by her daughter Ginger Fountain of Panama, Oklahoma, her son Damon Fountain of Cameron, Oklahoma, her grandchildren Rocky Tolbert and wife Gayla of Spiro, Oklahoma, Brett Tolbert and wife Heather of Greenwood, Arkansas, Dallas Canada and wife Michaela of Poteau, Oklahoma, Serena Walker and husband Luke of Jasper, Arkansas, and Brianna Fountain of Jasper, Arkansas, her great grandchildren Addison Tolbert, Chandler Tolbert, Evelyn Tolbert, Michael Arik, and Rune Tolbert, her sisters Bettye Harris of Sallisaw, Oklahoma, Judy Newby and husband Johnny of Van Buren, Arkansas, Claudette Mann of Wister, Oklahoma, and Yvonne Ryburn and husband Gene of Wister, Oklahoma, and her brothers Steve Sumpter and wife Amy of Panama, Oklahoma, Rocky Sumpter and wife Amy of Poteau, Oklahoma, and Art Sumpter and wife Sharon of Mulberry, Arkansas, along with numerous other nieces, nephews, cousins, relatives and friends.
The Celebration of Life Services for Miss Ellie will be held privately, with burial in the Rollison plots next to her husband James at the Fairview/Knothole Cemetery in Cameron, Oklahoma.
