Funeral Service for Alva Harrald, 86 of Pocola, Oklahoma will be at 10:00am on Wednesday, December 13, 2023 at Trinity Baptist Church in Pocola, Oklahoma with Reverend, Dr. Jeff Beshears, and Paul Walker officiating. Burial will follow at Woodlawn Memorial Park in Fort Smith, Arkansas under the direction of Evans & Miller Funeral Home of Poteau, Oklahoma.
Alva was born on June 28, 1937 in Twilight, Oklahoma to Essie Mae (Holmes) and John Overstreet and passed away on December 9, 2023 in Fort Smith, Arkansas. She was married to Tom Harrald on June, 1, 1956 in Arkoma, OK. She was preceded in death by her parents John and Essie Mae Overstreet of Arkoma, OK, her daughter, Cheryl Jackson of Pocola, OK, and son, Doug Harrald of Siloam Springs, AR; her sisters, Sue Shackelford, of Pocola, OK, June Freeman, of Pocola, OK and Kay Dye, of Ft Smith, AR; her brothers, Charles Overstreet, of Arkoma, OK and Bob Overstreet, of Arkoma, OK.
She is survived by her husband, Tom Harrald, of Pocola, OK. She is also survived by her daughter Connie McAllister, and husband John of Muldrow, OK; son, Dan Harrald of Cape Canaveral, FL; daughter in law, Marjorie Harrald of Siloam Springs, AR; granddaughters, Chandra Michelle Winters, of Lavaca, AR, Emily Nguyen and her husband John, of Bentonville, AR; Courteney Martin and her husband John, of Jefferson City, MO; grandsons, Christopher Jackson, of Ft Smith, AR, Jack McAllister, and his wife Kristy of Orlando, FL; great grandsons, Cazen, Cannon, Cutler, Creed, Camden, Emerson, Emery and James, and great granddaughters, Edith and Natalie; and a host of other family and friends, as well as her church family.
Pallbearers will be Chris Jackson, Phillip Shackelford, Jason Shackelford, Cutler Winters, Cannon Winters, and Roger Clark.
Viewing will be 12pm-8pm with the family visiting with friends from 6pm-8pm at the Pocola Chapel .
