Graveside Service for Anita Josephine Keener, 81 of Wister, Oklahoma will be at 10:00 AM on Thursday, December 14, 2023 at Wister City Cemetery in Wister, Oklahoma with Jim Crouch officiating. Services under the direction of Evans & Miller Funeral Home of Poteau, Oklahoma. Open visitation will be on Wednesday, December 13, 2023 from 9:00AM-7:00PM at the funeral home.
Anita was born on April 5, 1942 in Fairacres, New Mexico to Ruth E (Dukes) Rankins and John T Rankins and passed away on December 11, 2023 in Howe, Oklahoma. She was preceded in death by her husband of 43 years Terry Keener; parents; seven siblings; son, Melvin Moore; daughters, Ruth Andrews, and Terri Lee; grandson, Jeremy Lee; great granddaughter, Rylee Mills. Anita was a loving wife, mother, and grandmother. She worked in healthcare. Anita loved bluegrass music, and camping. Her grandchildren remember her dancing in the living room, and her orneriness.
Survivors include her daughter, Sharon Kay Guilbeaux and husband Brad; sons, Allen Moore, Leeman Moore and wife Sherry; grandchildren, Mark Andrews, Tausha Johnson, James Lee, Toni McKenzie, Chelsey Mills, Brittany Hill, Tyler Newby, John Moore, Harmony Moore, Kevin Moore, Angela, Melissa Hart, Mark Moore, Amy, Morgan Vanderploeg, Leemanda Brown, and Allen Cheely; fifty plus great grandchildren; three great great grandchildren.
