Anita was a woman of great love and kindness. Her warm and generous spirit touched everyone she met. Her devotion to her Christian faith, which she walked in throughout her life, was an example and blessing to all who knew her. She had a special way of making the people she loved feel welcomed, valued, and cared for.
Anita’s greatest joy was her family. She was a loving mother and grandmother who treasured the time she spent with those she loved. Her presence brought warmth to her family, and the memories she created with them will remain in their hearts forever.

The family is forever grateful to all the staff and nurses at The Oaks for the love and care they provided for Anita.
She is survived by her son, Jeff Garrett and wife, Diverly, of Poteau, Oklahoma; her daughter, Rose Olive and husband, Michael, of Heavener, Oklahoma; seven grandchildren, Steven Olive, Daniel Olive, Rachael Chacon, Lykah Sulcer and husband, Jonathan, Fiona Blanchard and husband, Shane, Anita Divine Garrett, and Jaira Garrett; and her sister, Isabel Provonovich and husband, Daniel.
Anita was preceded in death by her parents, Benigna and Christiano Pulache; one brother, Alfredo; and two sisters, Lorenza and Sophie.
Anita leaves behind a legacy of faith, love, kindness, and devotion to her family. She will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her, but her memory will live on in the hearts of her family and friends.
Funeral Service for Anita Raquel Garrett will be held at 3:00 p.m. on Saturday, September 5, 2026, at Evans Chapel of Memories in Poteau, Oklahoma, with Pastor Keith Williams officiating. Burial will follow at Oakland Cemetery in Poteau, Oklahoma, under the direction of Evans & Miller Funeral Home.
