Funeral Service for Annabelle Price, 96 of Howe, Oklahoma will be at 10:00 AM on Monday, January 16, 2023 at Grace Memorial Chapel in Poteau, Oklahoma with Reverend Josh Effinger, officiating. Services under the direction of Grace Funeral Service of Poteau, Oklahoma.

She was born on October 11, 1926 in Howe, Oklahoma to Ellen (Schinzel) Luton and Marion Luton and passed away on January 11, 2023 in Heavener, Oklahoma. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband D.J. Price Jr., and 6 brothers and sisters. She was a dedicated to her Lord and served playing the piano and organ and as ladies Sunday School teacher for many years. She was active WMU and she also had a card ministry that she sent cards of encouragement to new church members and those that were ill. She was a charter member of Bethel Baptist Church in 1970 and continued as an active member for 52 years until her death. She was an educational teacher in Leflore County schools for 30 plus years. She established the first school lunch program for Whitesbore Schools while teaching Home Economics and was a sponsor for the high school girls basketball team and made all the games. She retired from Wister Public Schools while teaching the second grade.
Annabelle loved her family and spent hours playing games with her grandchildren and great grand children having fun! You could hear their squeals of laughter and excitement as they played. They painted rocks while camping and learned to love the beauty of God's creations with Pappa and Nannie! Annabelle became an avid fisherman with the love of her life D.J. They spent retirement and many enjoyable times camping and fishing at Hugo Lake. There was nothing better than her fried fish, hush puppies and homemade ice cream.

Survivors include: her daughter Anna Smith and husband Ted, grandchildren, Heather Butler and husband Chris, Allisha Wiseley, Khris Smith and wife Charlotte, Creigh Smith, great grandchildren, Dalton Seigler, Josh Butler and wife Paige, Jacob Butler, Dannielle Butler, Brendon Wiseley, Annaston Wiseley, Kylie Smith, Garrett Smith, Mariah Smith, Justus Smith, and Levi Smith, great great grandchild, Caleb Butler and numerous other friends and loved ones.

Honorary Pallbearers will be grandchildren.

Family will greet friends Sunday 2pm-4pm at the funeral home.
