Arthur Raymond Caldwell Jr, age 80, of Poteau, Oklahoma passed away on February 1st, 2024. He was born in Lancaster Pennsylvania to Arthur and Helen Caldwell. The second of three children. Arthur is survived by his sister Patricia Mathias, his ex-wife Harriet Caldwell, sons Arthur and Dennis Caldwell, daughters Sherry Messerly and Amy Heitner, and three grandchildren.In his early years, with his father serving in the military, Art grew up in various places in the United States and abroad. Moving around in those formative years helped him learn to make friends quickly. A trait that he carried with him throughout his life. He loved to tell stories of his experiences to all who would listen, and sometimes even if no one was listening!His love for people also moved him to share constantly the bible-based hope and faith that he held so dear. It was a rare occasion to find him without a Bible verse or scriptural point to share.He will be missed dearly by his friends and family, but we are confident that the God he worshiped so faithfully will without fail remember him faithfully in turn.A memorial service will be held at the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah’s witnesses in Poteau, Oklahoma at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, February 17th.
