Funeral Service for Barbara Louise Corcoran, 79 of Monroe, Oklahoma will be at 2:00 PM on Wednesday, November 29, 2023 at New Vision Worship Center 220 Sycamore Street, Van Buren, Arkansas with Reverend Brad Corcoran officiating. Burial will follow at Monroe Cemetery in Monroe, Oklahoma under the direction of Evans & Miller Funeral Home of Poteau, Oklahoma. Viewing and visitation will be Tuesday, November 28, 2023 from 6:00-8:00 PM at the funeral home.
Barbara was born on April 18, 1944 in Fanshawe, Oklahoma to Mamie (Thornburg) Sumpter and Therman Sumpter and passed away on November 26, 2023 in Pocola, Oklahoma. She was married to Curtis Corcoran on May 26, 1966 in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma. She was preceded in death by her parents; great granddaughter, Kamryn Leaton; brothers, Ellis Sumpter, and Ronnie Sumpter.
Survivors include her husband, Curtis Corcoran; children, Curtis Corcoran, Jr. and wife Marla, Bradley Corcoran and wife Krista; grandchildren, Hailey Denza, Holli Corcoran, Krista Leaton and husband Brady, Lauren Taylor and husband Kolby, Christapher Erwin and wife Amber, Michael Erwin, Danielle Anderson and husband Houston, and Jacob Denza; great grandchildren, Adalynn Corcoran, Braylon Leaton, Harper Erwin, Oliver Erwin, Owen Anderson, Liam Anderson, Wes Taylor, and Everly Taylor; brothers, Terry Sumpter, and Butch Sumpter; sister, Rita Baldwin; numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and loved ones.
Pallbearers will be Chris Erwin, Michael Erwin, Kolby Taylor, Lee Sumpter, Brad Pickens, and Joshua Hogan.
