Barry Lee Sitton, 52, passed away on September 11, 2025, in Poteau, OK Barry was born on April 25, 1973, in Kansas City, Missouri to parents Gerald and Doris (Hayes) Sitton. Barry has worked for Green Country Sanitation for over 25 years; he also coached Little League Baseball. Barry loved his family dearly.
He was preceded in death by father, Gerald Sitton, his father and mother-in-law, Raymond and Mary Brasher.
Barry is survived by wife, Crystal of the home; six daughters, Shayla Gullick and Tyler of Poteau, Oklahoma, Kaylee Bond and Bob of McCurtain, Oklahoma, Araisha Sitton of Fort Smith, Arkansas, Alissa Sitton and Jonny Ardemagni of Fort Smith, Arkansas, Marisol Sitton and Christopher Cortes, Andrah Sitton and Ethan Vaughn all of Poteau, Oklahoma; one son, Tyler Sitton of Poteau, Oklahoma; his mother, Doris Sitton of Poteau, Oklahoma; one brother, Jerry Sitton of Poteau, Oklahoma; sister in laws, Jackie Rake and Matt of Poteau, Oklahoma and Rhonda Brasher of Poteau, Oklahoma; eleven grandchildren, Ale, Kyron, Kayden, Eli, Parker, Braylee, Kai, Karter, Jasmine, Josiah and Noah
.
The Celebration of Life Services for Barry Sitton will be held at The Cedars, 11 am -Tuesday, September 16, 2025, with TJ Holt and Joey Marsh officiating. Burial will follow in Oakland Cemetery in Poteau, Oklahoma. The Family of Barry Sitton will visit with family and friend 5-7 pm Monday, September 15, 2025, at The Cedars. Casket bearers will be Matt Rake, Bob Bond, Tyler McKinney, Jonny Ardemagni, Christopher Cortes, Ethan Vaughn, Trenton Hornback and Roy Gullick IV Honorary Pallbearers Chris Woolbright and Green Country Sanitation Crew.
