Funeral Service for Betty Grover, 86 of Wister, Oklahoma will be at 2:00 PM on Tuesday, October 24, 2023 at Wister Faith Community Church in Wister, Oklahoma with Chad Loper officiating. Burial will follow at Glendale Cemetery in Glendale, Oklahoma under the direction of Evans & Miller Funeral Home of Poteau, Oklahoma.

Betty Gayle Grover entered into rest peacefully on October 20, 2023 surrounded by her loving family.

Betty was born September 3, 1937 in Glendale, OK to Jake and Clara Goble. She was a member of Wister Faith Community Church, and a 1955 graduate of Wister High School. Betty met Ronald Earl Grover Sr. April 1960 in San Antonio, TX. They fell in love immediately and they were married a few months later, on August 6, 1960. Three years later Ronald Earl Grover Jr. made a firecracker entrance into the world on July 4, 1963. Betty devoted her life to being a wife and mother. She was passionate about giving her heart to the Lord, church, and her family. In her spare time, she enjoyed reading romance novels and traveling alongside her husband on their many adventures.

She is survived by her husband of 63 years, Ron Sr.; son, Ron Grover Jr., and wife, Sherry of Pocola, OK; Inherited son, Kenny Doiron of Oklahoma City, OK; grandchildren, Angel Connell, and husband, Johnny of Yukon, OK; Tonya Crawford, and husband, Jeff of Springhill, FL; Brent Grover, and wife, Ashlynn of Van Buren, AR; Great grandchildren, Seth Connell, Aiden Willroth, Chance Connell, and Gavin Grover; Brother, Bunk Goble and wife, Carol of Wister, OK; Sister-in-law, Gail Goble of Wister, OK; Brother-in-law, M.C. Ollar of Glendale, OK; Gene Grover of Grand Rapids, MN; Jim Grover, and wife, Luann of Swatara, MN; Randy Grover, and wife, Lisa of Perham, MN. Along with numerous nieces, nephews, and a host of many friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Jake and Clara Goble; In laws, Earl Grover, and wife, Letha; Brother, Larry Goble; Sister, Sue Ollar; Brother-in-laws, Howard Grover, Robert Grover, Thomas Grover, Frank Lachowitzer, Clarence “Red” Schattschneider; Sister-in-laws, Zelda “Jackie” Lachowitzer and Vernetta “Babe” Schattschneider; Niece, Robbin Grover; Great niece, Kristine Grover; Nephew, Jimmy Ollar.

Pallbearers will be Jeff Goble, Johnny Stover, Seth Connell, Chance Connell, Mike Ollar and Ronnie Martin

Honorary Pallbearers will be Bunk Goble, M.C. Ollar

Visitation will be Monday, October 23, 2023 from 6:00-8:00 PM at the funeral home.
