Funeral Service for Betty “Jeannie” Young, 79 of Spiro, Oklahoma will be at 1:00pm on Monday, October 17, 2022 at Harvest Time Church in Fort Smith, Arkansas with Reverend Deron Freeman officiating. Burial will follow at New Hope Cemetery in Spiro, Oklahoma under the direction of Mallory-Martin Funeral Home.She was born on May 19, 1943 in Kellogg, Idaho to Mozelle (Johnson) Forehand and Marvin Edward Forehand and passed away on October 12, 2022 in Fort Smith, Arkansas. Jeannie was married to Donald Edward Young on January 14, 1982 in Poteau, Oklahoma. She was preceded in death by her parents, Moe Goins and Bud Forehand. Jeannie worked at Rheem for over 30 years. She was a member of Harvest Time Church and the Harvest Time Golden Harvesters.Survivors include her husband, Don Young; daughter, Tonja Cristee and husband Mike; son, Charles Tipton; granddaughters, April, Angela; great granddaughters, Breeanna, Chloe, Jeni; brothers, Dion Parker, George Strain, numerous other relatives and loved ones.Pallbearers will be Butch Beale, Danny Hulse, Allen Young, Barry Tharp, Doug Yates, and Anthony Perolli.Honorary Pallbearers will be Dr. Macon Landers and The Golden Harvesters.Viewing and Visitation will be Sunday, October 16, 2022 from 12pm – 6pm with family greeting friends from 4pm – 6pm at the funeral home.You may leave an online message at mallorymartinfuneralhome.com.
