Billie Lea Sweeten of Rock Island, Oklahoma was born March 27, 1941 in Fort Smith, Arkansas to W.J. and Lillian (Fern) Jones, and passed away June 25, 2021 in Fort Smith, Arkansas at the age of 80.

 

She is survived by her daughters, Glenda James, Sherry James and husband Gene; sons, Randy Sweeten and wife Bonnie, Shawn Sweeten and wife Tamara; grandchildren, Austin Miller, Kaelee Brown, Shelby James, Tanner James, Shawna Sweeten, Blake Sweeten, Maddox Sweeten Teagan Macon; great grandchildren, Mason Fox, Hunter Miller, Hayven Miller, Luxy Sweeten, Lela Brown, Grant Henry, Coen Wofford; bonus grandchildren, Whitley Christmas, Tanner Barnes, Jacob Barnes; sisters, Agnes Knapp, Linda Paz numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives, and loved ones.

 

Billie was preceded in death by her parents, W.J. and Lillian Jones; husband, Roy Sweeten; grandson, Brandon Sweeten; son-in-law, Paul James; three brothers and three sisters. She loved spending time with her family especially her grandchildren and great grandchildren. They were her world! Billie owned and operated County Café in Cameron, she was known for her coconut crème pies and chicken fried steak.

 

Funeral Services will be 3:00pm Tuesday, June 29, 2021 at Cross Community Church in Pocola, Oklahoma with Pastor Brandon Lopez officiating. Private burial will be held at Macedonia Cemetery in Pocola, Oklahoma. The family will greet friends Monday, June 28, 2021 from 6:00pm – 8:00pm at Grace Funeral Service in Poteau, Oklahoma.

 

Pallbearers will be; Carl Hastings, Troy Brown, Teagan Macon. Roy Gene King, Mark King, and Mason Ray Fox. Honorary Pallbearers will be; Johnny Sweeten, Troy Sweeten, Billy Don Sweeten, and Mikel Sweeten.
