Funeral Service for Billy "Bo" Dean McKinney, 57 of Spiro, Oklahoma will be at 10:00am on Thursday, January 28, 2021 at Victory Worship Center in Spiro, Oklahoma with Reverend Larry McSperitt officiating. Burial will follow at Old Cache Cemetery in Keota, Oklahoma under the direction of Mallory-Martin Funeral Home of Spiro, Oklahoma.
He was born on December 1, 1963 in Talihina, Oklahoma to Patricia Jo (Summers) McKinney and Billy Gene McKinney and passed away on January 22, 2021 in Fort Smith, Arkansas. He was married to Annetta Jean (Smith) McKinney on December 12, 1981 in Flower Hill, Oklahoma. He was preceded in death by his father, Billy Gene McKinney, sister, Sandy Kay McKinney, and grandparents; Utah "Cal" McKinney and Naomi McKinney. Bo was a loving Husband, Father, Papa, Son, and Brother. He never met a stranger and was a friend to all. He leaves a legacy, Bo's Collison Center. His passion was cars, but most importantly using that as an outlet to minister. Bo was a firm believer in Christ, Preacher of The Gospel, and would always leave the 99 to bring in the 1. We are confident that Bo got his healing and is setting by the River of Life with his dad and granddad, waiting for the rest of us. Bo was an avid hunter and would never miss an opportunity to go to Colorado to elk or bear hunt. He was always the HEAD and not the tail, being the leader of our pack. Most importantly he loved nothing more than his family. His grandchildren were Papas life. He never missed a moment to scare or play a joke on them, Bo Bo was the BEST man we ever knew, till we meet again.
Survivors include his wife, Annetta McKinney; daughters, Tara Reid and husband Eric, Tiffany Davis and husband Jesse, Jennifer Benefield and husband Zach; son, Billy McKinney and fiancé Stephany Ivy; mother, Patricia McKinney sisters, JoAnn Walden and husband Robert, Terri McCullar and husband Robert, Sheral Bell; grandchildren, MacKenzie Reid, Calvin McKinney, Logan McKinney, Bayleigh Davis, Oliver McKinney Cash Benefield, Sadie Benefield, Jaxston Davis, Maverick Reid, numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and loved ones.
Pallbearers will be Billy McKinney, Calvin McKinney, Zachary Benefield, Eric Reid, Jesse Davis, Markus McKinney, Robert Walden, and Robert McCullar. Honorary Pallbearers will be Cash Benefield, Oliver McKinney, Logan McKinney, Jaxston Davis, and Maverick Reid.
Viewing will be Wednesday, January 27, 2021 from 9:00am -7:00pm. The family will greet 5:00pm -7:00pm at the funeral home.
