Billy Ray McClain of Heavener, Oklahoma was born on March 13, 1933 in Heavener, Oklahoma to Carl and Hazel (Thomas) McClain and passed away September 10, 2020 in Fort Smith, Arkansas at the age of 87.

He is survived by:

Gail Muse and husband Jason of Grants Pass, Oregon

Kristan Livingston of Fort Worth, Texas

Two step-sons:

Ronny Livingston of Aledo, Texas

Kerry Livingston of Aledo, Texas

Christine Gregory of Howe, Oklahoma

One step-sister:

Sammie Proctor of Poteau, Oklahoma

Three brothers:

Jerry McClain of Vacaville, California

Ed McClain and wife Elea Mae of Coaldale, Arkansas

Jack Paluse of Hermiston, Oregon

One sister-in-law:

Lissie McClain of Heavener, Oklahoma

12 grandchildren

14 great-grandchildren

2 great-great-grandchildren

Several nieces, nephews, other relatives, and a host of many friends

He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Patricia McClain; one brother, Merle McClain; and one step-brother, Charles Paluso.

Bill was a long-time resident of the area and a retired truck driver for Overland Transportation. He was a member of Coaldale Baptist Church. Bill loved spending time with his family and friends. He will be deeply missed by his loved ones and friends.

Funeral service will be 10:00 a.m., Thursday, September 17, 2020 at the Dowden-Roberts Funeral Home Chapel Church in Heavener, Oklahoma with Brother Joe Ray officiating. Burial will follow in Heavener Memorial Park under the direction of Dowden-Roberts Funeral Home of Heavener, Oklahoma.

Pallbearers will be: Linn Terry, Lane Terry, Rodney McClain, Tim McClain, Scott McClain, and David McClain.

Viewing will be from 10 a.m. until 8:00 p.m., Tuesday and 8:30 a.m. until 8:00 p.m., Wednesday at the funeral home.
