Billy Thompson, 88 of Poteau, Oklahoma was born on April 2, 1935 in Wister, Oklahoma to Thelma Clark and Noble Thompson and passed away on August 13, 2023 in Poteau, Oklahoma. He was preceded in death by his parents, two sisters, and one brother. Billy retired from GM a member of the United Auto Workers in Wentzville, MO he loved to be outside fishing, and hunting. Gardening and playing cards.
Survivors include his wife, Betty J. Thompson; daughter, Barbara Cox and husband Tim; grandchildren, Brandon and Brooke Slone, and Ashley Dye; great grandchildren, Broker Slone, Brixtyn Slone, and Briggs Slone; many nieces, nephews and other relatives and loved ones.
Cremation is under the direction of Evans & Miller Funeral Home of Poteau, Oklahoma.
