Burkman J. Langley was born March 30, 1940 in Basile Louisiana to Hillary and Eva (Young) Langley and passed away March 25, 2018 in Spiro, Oklahoma at the age of 77.

 

Burkman married Mary McLauglin on April 4, 2001 in Texarkana, Texas.

 

He is survived by his wife, Mary "Judy" Langley of the home, daughters, Connie Ross an d Phillip W. Cusick of Spiro, Oklahoma, Marlene Cartina and husband Mark of Eunice, Louisiana, Felecia and husband Tommy of Eunice, Louisiana, Sara Swain of Lake Charles, Louisiana, sons, Jason Langley of Eunice, Louisiana, Lucas Langley of Spiro, Oklahoma, Paul Swain and wife Karen of Moss Bluff, Louisiana, Wesley McLaughlin and wife Karen of Spiro, Oklahoma,
brother, Hillary “Junior” Langley and wife Susie of West Lake, Louisiana, grandchildren,  Megan Sullins and husband Tyson of Spiro, Oklahoma, Joe T. Ross of Spiro, Oklahoma, Mark Cartina of Eunice, Louisiana, Tyler McLauglin and wife Brittany of Spiro, Oklahoma, Sara Ralls and husband Jeff of Spiro, Oklahoma, Danny and Christy, Cullen Swain, Amanda, Katherine, Julia, special friends, Greg Daigle, Earl LaFleur, Zie Granger, and numerous other grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces, nephews, other loved ones and relatives.

 

Burkman was preceded in death by his parents, Hillary and Eva (Young) Langley, sons, Paul Langley, Burk Jr, brothers, Leland Langley, Leo Langley, Willie Langley, and sisters, Verline, Maybelle, and Lolita.

 

He was a longshoreman at the Port of Lake Charles for 40 plus years where he retired. Burk made Spiro his home for the past 17 years. He loved his family and friends deeply and was especially fond of his grandchildren.

 

Cremation is under the direction of Mallory-Martin Funeral Home in Spiro, Oklahoma.
