Carolyn Elaine Anderson, 75, of Poteau, Oklahoma, passed away peacefully on July 4, 2025, in Poteau. She was born on June 28, 1950, in Shady Point, Oklahoma, to Elaine (Kubala) Prock and L.D. Prock.
Carolyn was a woman full of life, love, and creativity. She had a deep appreciation for the simple joys in life, dancing, painting, playing Scrabble, and enjoying a good cup of coffee. She especially cherished the many travels she shared with her beloved husband, David Eugene Anderson, who preceded her in death. After his passing, Carolyn held his memory close, and now they are joyfully reunited once again.
In addition to her husband, she was also preceded in death by her parents and her brother, Eugene Lomon.
Carolyn leaves behind a loving family who will carry on her memory: her son, Lenny Anderson and his wife Shelly; grandchildren David Anderson and wife Patricia, Troy Anderson, Amber Anderson, and Cassandra Anderson; and great-grandchildren Davey Anderson, Isiah Anderson, Daniel Anderson, and Naomi Anderson. She is also survived by her sisters Gloria Womack and husband Jerry, Sandy Mason and husband Gary; her brother Barry Prock; as well as numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives, and countless friends whose lives she touched.
A Celebration of Life will be held at 10:00 AM on Friday, July 11, 2025, at Evans Chapel of Memories in Poteau, Oklahoma, with Jim Cook officiating. Arrangements are under the direction of Evans & Miller Funeral Home of Poteau.
