Carolyn Sue Butler, of Shady Point, Oklahoma passed away on October 29, 2026, in her home in Shady Point, Oklahoma at the age of 74. Carolyn was born on November 7, 1951, to Howard and Bonnie (Martin) Vaughn in Coweta, Oklahoma. Carolyn spent many years serving her community and working for Panama School district.

Carolyn is survived by her husband, Kenneth Ray Butler of the home; her stepson, James Butler and wife, Kim; her stepdaughter, Crissy Thompson and husband James; her sister, Beverly Ann Carr and husband Ray; five grandchildren; special friends, Tim and Marilyn Pierson and family along with other family and friends.

The Celebration of Life Services for Carolyn will be held at 2pm, Wednesday, November 4, 2026, at The Cedars on Dewey 520 Dewey Avenue, Poteau, Oklahoma with TJ Holt officiating.
