Carrie Evelyn (Shrock) Beaty, 66, unexpectantly passed away on May 1, 2023. The daughter of Lawrence S. Shrock and Janet Harrison (Shrock), Carrie was born on July 4, 1956, in Amarillo, Texas.
Carrie grew up in Texas and Oklahoma and was a graduate of C.E. Donart/Stillwater High School. Carrie married Mark Wayne Beaty on July 21, 1990, and this marriage lasted for 33 years until Carrie’s passing. They have lived in Leflore, Oklahoma since 2001. Carrie was a member of The Cowboy Church in Talihina, Oklahoma.
Mark and Carrie have owned and operated Bear Creek Ranch in Leflore during this time and Carrie raised show-quality Great Danes for 40 years. She loved her Danes unconditionally. For most of her life, Carrie worked as a dog breeder and rancher and took pride in taking care of and showing her animals. She loved gardening and canning and the family always enjoyed the fruits of her labor. Time with family was important to Carrie and she enjoyed spending time on the ranch with family members. She will be missed by all of her family and friends.
Carrie is preceded in death by her father, Lawrence S. Shrock and son Donald Jesse (DJ) Sturm. Carrie is survived by her husband, Mark W. Beaty of the home, her children: Lance R. Sturm and wife Grace of Coweta, OK; Mitchell W. Beaty and wife Marisa of Spicewood, TX; Kenneth J. Beaty and wife Cristina of Tuttle, OK; Christopher D. Beaty and wife Sage of Mustang, OK; 15 grandchildren and 1 great-granddaughter; sister, Lourrie Adair (Shrock) White and husband Norbert of Disputanta, VA, and brother, Eugene L. Shrock and wife Kelly of Buda, TX; and many more aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, nephews and loving family members and friends.
