Cathy was born on August 28, 1953, in Kansas City, Missouri, to Lessie Mae (Mank) McKinney and Jonathan LaFayette McKinney. She passed away on January 28, 2025, in Pocola, Oklahoma.
Cathy lived a full and loving life. She was a dedicated LPN who cared deeply for others. In her free time, she cherished sewing, quilting, and crocheting blankets for her beloved “babies.” She also enjoyed fishing and had a passion for genealogy, often uncovering and preserving her family’s history.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her sister, Gayle Ritter; and her brother, John McKinney.
Cathy is survived by her son, Shawn Ritter (LaDawn); her daughter, Cristie Skelton (Timothy); her grandchildren, Courtney Cunningham (Quinton), Dannon Fox (Bryce), Hunter Thomas (Brooklyn), Bradley Skelton (Weslie), and Brayden Skelton (Olivia); and great-grandchildren, Kyler, Keegan, Maverick, and Lily Mae. She also leaves behind her sisters, Susan Cornell, Janice Stevens, and Vicki Ritter (Nolan); her brother, William McKinney; and numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives, and loved ones.
Cathy’s kindness, creativity, and love for her family will forever be remembered by those she touched.
