Memorial Service for Charles Alfred Schrodt, 73, of Stigler, Oklahoma, will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday, November 18, 2025, at Evans Chapel of Memories in Poteau, Oklahoma, with Phil McGehee officiating. Burial will follow at Oakland Cemetery in Poteau under the direction of Evans & Miller Funeral Home of Poteau, Oklahoma.
Charles was born on October 12, 1952, in Poteau, Oklahoma, to Norma Jean (McAlister) Schrodt and Henry Woodrow Schrodt. He passed away on November 13, 2025, in Stigler, Oklahoma.
Charles was a proud graduate of Oklahoma State University and later retired from the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, where he dedicated many years of service. He was an avid hunter, fisherman, and outdoorsman who loved spending time in nature and appreciated the simple beauty of the world around him.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Henry and Norma Schrodt, and by his beloved wife, Mary Kathryn Schrodt.
He is survived by his brothers, Jim Schrodt of Poteau, Oklahoma, and Ronnie Schrodt of Fort Smith, Arkansas; his nephew, Jared Schrodt of Seattle, Washington; and his niece, Katy Prater of Fort Smith.
