Charlotte and Dave met, married, and raised Dave Jr and Traci in OKC until moving to Poteau in 1978.
Charlotte worked as an insurance agent for nearly 30 years at Reed Williams Insurance, having the utmost work ethic always showing respect and kindness to all she encountered while working. She then retired in 2008.
Charlotte’s greatest joy was her family. She loved her children, grandchildren, and the time spent together making memories. Her three granddaughters, Jane, Jaci, and Jentri, were especially precious to her. She lovingly said that her granddaughters were her “hobby”. Thus obtaining the nickname “Memaw charge it”, in place of memaw’s Charlotte!! She always laughed with no intent of stopping!
Charlotte loved Christmas and the holidays, when family gathered together, the house was filled with love and laughter. She also enjoyed reading and treasured the simple moments spent with the people she loved.
She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Dave Sr, the love of her life. Though his passing left an emptiness in her heart, their love and the life they shared will always remain a cherished part of her story.
Charlotte leaves behind her children, Dave and Dee Abrams, Traci and Jeff Jackson. Granddaughters Jane and Nyles McDaniel, Jaci and Jared Shadwick, Jentri and Seth Pottridge.
And those sweet, great grandchildren Journi, Makenzi, Jackson, Braxton, Jera, Averi, Holliday, Brasen, and Jaylee.
And those she held very dear in her heart Aunt Pat, her nurse Stephanie and Cna Aniston.
And many extended family and friends who will forever carry her memory in their hearts. Her love, strength, laughter, and the countless memories she created with those around her will continue to live on through the generations.
She will be deeply missed, forever cherished, and always loved.
The Celebration of Life Services for Charlotte will be held 2pm – Friday, October 9, 2026, at The Cedars on Dewey 520 Dewey Ave Poteau, Oklahoma with TJ Holt officiating and private family burial to follow at Oakland Cemetery in Poteau, Oklahoma. The Family of Charlotte Abrams will greet friends at the conclusion of the service, in The Cedars on Dewey.
