Funeral Service for Clarence “Vinson” Hill, 81 of Poteau, Oklahoma will be at 10:00 AM on Saturday, January 28, 2023 at Evans Chapel of Memories in Poteau, Oklahoma with Brad Hill, and Bentley Hill officiating. Burial will follow at Monroe Cemetery in Monroe, Oklahoma under the direction of Evans & Miller Funeral Home of Poteau, Oklahoma.
Vinson loved to hunt, teaching young hunters about hunting. He was an avid fisherman, where he won the big bass tournament 2 years in a row. He worked at whirlpool for 40 years before retiring. He served in the Navy for 4 years
He was born on March 26, 1941 in Fairview, Oklahoma to Lottie Labecca (Nichols) Hill and Waymon Warren Hill and passed away on January 25, 2023 in Monroe, Oklahoma. He was preceded in death by his parents; sister, Margie Gwen, Beatrice Gregg, Joyce Shade, and Elvie Hill; brothers, Albert Hill, Harlan Hill, and Thurman Hill; great grandchild, Kaden Breashears.
Survivors include his wife, Louise Hill; daughters, Joy Pye and Husband Rex, Patty Fingerhut and husband Bill, Marta Fischer and husband Ian; sons, Coy Hill and wife Dawn, Kevin Hill, Trey Greer and wife Rachel; brother, Truman Hill and wife Jean; grandchildren, Kendall Breashears, Kayla Davis, Leana Hill, Nathan Hill, Kendra Oakes, James Hill, Zechariah, Hannah Fingerhut, Cassie Mattox, Will Greer, Susan Greer, Eli Fischer, Josh Fischer, Anna Fischer, Jack Fischer; great grandchildren, Autumn Breashears, Kenzington Breashears, Braylee Morris, Jonathan Davis, Lakelynn Mattox, Jocelynn Mattox, Weston Hill, and Chandler Hobbs.
Pallbearers will be Coy Hill, Kevin Hill, Kendall Breashears, Nathan Hill, James Hill, Eli Fischer, Will Greer, Tim Place, Zechariah Fingerhut.
Honorary Pallbearers will be Ryan Thomas, Tommy Ford, Truman Hill, Donnie Killion, Kenny Mattox.
Visitation will be Friday, January 27, 2023 from 5:00-8:00 PM at Evans & Miller Funeral Home of Poteau, Oklahoma.
