Funeral Service for Dale Seaton, 73 of Cameron, Oklahoma will be at 2pm on Saturday, November 26, 2022 at Evans Chapel of Memories in Poteau, Oklahoma with Jim Cook officiating. Burial will follow at Greenhill Cemetery in Cameron, Oklahoma under the direction of Evans & Miller Funeral Home of Poteau, Oklahoma.
Dale Edward Seaton was born on July 25th, 1949, in Oklahoma to Homer Elmer Seaton and Minnie Lola Jean (Goins) Seaton. Dale passed from this earth to his Heavenly home on November 17th, 2022 in Cameron, OK, at the age of 73.
Dale was preceded in death by his parents Homer and Lola Seaton, his brother Curtis James Seaton, and two grandchildren.
Dale is survived by his children: Gary Seaton, Daniel and Margo Wright, his two granddaughters, Charis Raya Wright and Myla Sydney Wright, one sister-in-law Niwona Seaton, a brother and sister-in-law Dewayne and Beckie Seaton, one nephew Eddie Seaton, one niece Amanda Perdue, and the mother of Gary and Margo, Mary Seaton.
Dale was kind hearted, selfless, hard working, loving, family focused, and humble. On most days, he could be found at his old farm or home place at almost any time during the day. He also farmed and ranched and loved to tinker on just about anything that could be worked on. He had many animals during his ranching days, but particularly cattle. He worked at Baldor Electric as a machinist for forty years.
Dale leaves behind a true legacy within his children and granddaughters as he constantly instilled in them good behavior, good character, and other virtues. He saw value in people and in things. Dale often held on to items that others would easily discard and he’d make things out of absolutely nothing. His daughter loved his resourceful ways despite often having a good laugh out of some of his creations. Dale loved riding his tractor on the farm, brush hogging, and spraying to keep the pasture cleaned up. He enjoyed raising a garden and having the best tomatoes in town. Dale wasn’t distracted by worldly pleasures; he lived a simple life, but a good life.
Pallbearers will be: Jackie Lomon, Billy Wilson, Ricky Darneal, Harlan Hale, Eddie Seaton, and David W. Wright.
Honorary Pallbearers will be: Daniel Wright, David C. Wright, Gary Seaton, and Aaron Scroggins.
Family visitation will be from 5:00-7:00 pm, Friday, November 25, 2022 at the funeral home.
