David Washington of Heavener, Oklahoma was born March 1, 1925 in Wister, Oklahoma to Levi and Minnie (Lillard) Washington and went home to be with his Lord on January 12, 2018 in Heavener, Oklahoma at the age of 92.

 

He is survived by:

Jackie Lee Washington of the home

One step-son:
Alvan Black and wife Annette of Gautier, Mississippi

Three step-grandchildren

Four nieces

One nephew

Numerous great nieces, great nephews, and friends

 

He was preceded in death by his parents; one son, David Ray Washington; one daughter, Patsy Washington; and two sisters, Salina Heflin and Lavada Byous.

 

David was a retired truck driver, a member of the Heavener First Baptist Church, and a member of the Teamsters Union #150.

 

David loved Jackie and his family. He will be deeply missed by many.

 

Funeral service will be 10:00 a.m., Monday, January 15, 2018 at the Heavener First Baptist Church with Pastor Marshall Faulkenberry, Jr. and Chaplain Jeff Little officiating.

 

Burial will follow in Heavener Memorial Park under the direction of Dowden-Roberts Funeral Home of Heavener, Oklahoma.

 

Pallbearers will be: Jerry Miller, Josh Miller, J.C. Byous, Jeremiah Byous, Marshall Faulkenberry, Jr., and Tony Murry.

 

Viewing will be from noon until 8:00 p.m., Saturday and noon until 8:00 p.m., Sunday. The family will visit with friends from 2:00 p.m. until 4:00 p.m., Sunday evening at the funeral home.
