Graveside Service for Debora Joyce Brown, 69 of Keota, Oklahoma will be held at Old Cache Cemetery in Keota, Oklahoma on Friday, June 30, 2023 at 10:00 am with Mike Newberry officiating. Burial will follow under the direction of Evans & Miller Funeral Home of Poteau, Oklahoma. She was preceded in death by her father, Leon Simpson and brother, Rockey Simpson.
Debora was born to and the only daughter of Leon and Violet Simpson. With her parents and only brother, Rickey Simpson, they settled in Cameron, OK where she stayed and built a family with the love of her life, Frankie Brown. They created a marriage built on the foundation of faith and love. She valued her family and children above everything else. She spent her life devoted to caring for those around her, always putting others first. Debbie was strong in her faith and utilized her gifts of empathy and prayer for all those around her. She was passionate about helping others, spending 32 years working for Poteau Public Schools, where she cared for those with specials needs and even drove a bus. She loved to travel, craft, shop, and was always on the go. Debbie was the most wonderful and caring MoMo, mother, wife, daughter, sister, and of course friend.
Survivors include husband, Frankie Ray Brown; daughters, Raye Bishop and husband Owen, Chandra Brown, Lee Ann Qualls and husband Greg; sons, Lee Bollinger and wife Chelle, Matt Bollinger and wife Brandi, Joe Dawes and wife Dawnetta, L.C. Brown and wife Jennifer; grandchildren, Beau McKenzie, Laycen McKenzie, Tannon Bishop, Sunday Bishop, Kal Underwood, Bethany Tobler, Lexi Bryant, Caitlin Bollinger, Zoie Amos, Wyatt Amos, Gabby Gottsponer, Karissa Huffman, Joey Dawes, Coty Atkins, Trey Boggs, Austin Wagner, Shelby Billy, Brennan Barclay, Countri Brown, Colton Bledsoe, and Addi Brown; 12 great grandchildren; mother, Violet Simpson-Atkinson, numerous nieces, nephews, other realtives and friends
