On September 13, 1986, she married Gary L. Cohen in Brentwood, New York. They shared 32  wonderful years together before his passing on June 23, 2019.

De, as she was affectionately known, was a beautiful soul with a heart full of kindness, generosity, and love. She was one of those special people who would give you the shirt off her back without a second thought. Always willing to lend a helping hand, De had a gentle, caring spirit and a way of making others feel loved and appreciated. Her sweetness and selflessness were just a few of the many qualities that made her so special to everyone who knew her.

De had a wonderful creative side and was incredibly talented with her hands. She loved crafting, especially beading and making beautiful jewelry. She also enjoyed watercolor painting, creating lovely works of art that reflected her imagination and artistic spirit. Crocheting was another one of her special talents, and she loved making blankets for her family and friends. Each blanket was a labor of love, lovingly stitched with care and given from the heart. Those fortunate enough to receive one of her handmade blankets will always have something special to wrap themselves in, a beautiful reminder of De’s warmth, generosity, and love. Her creativity also extended into the kitchen, where she was an exceptional gourmet cook who enjoyed preparing delicious meals for those she loved.

One of De’s most endearing qualities was her playful spirit and her love for Disney, especially her all-time favorite character, Dopey from Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs. One of her happiest memories was getting to meet Dopey at Disney World, a moment that brought her pure joy. She loved him so much that she would even dress up as Dopey for Halloween! It was these little things, her excitement, her sense of fun, and her ability to find happiness in life’s simple pleasures, that made De so unforgettable.

De also loved playing cards, especially Shanghai Rummy, and looked forward to game nights with her friends. Those evenings were filled with laughter, friendly competition, and wonderful memories. She was also quite the dice player and knew how to hold her own in a game! Whether she was playing cards, rolling dice, or simply enjoying the company of her friends, De treasured those special times together. Her playful spirit, laughter, and love for a good game made every gathering a little more fun.

Above all, De will be remembered for her incredibly kind heart. She loved deeply, gave generously, and cared for others without expecting anything in return. She had a special way of bringing warmth and happiness into the lives of those around her. Though her family and friends will miss her dearly, they will forever treasure the beautiful memories, the laughter, and the unconditional love she shared so freely.

De was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Gary L. Cohen; her parents, Robert, Sr.  and Blanche Molloy; and her sister, Diane Rossi.

Those left to cherish her memory include her daughter, Sarah Beth Miserak and husband Jeremiah; sister, Debbie Pascual and husband Steven; brother, Bobby Molloy and wife Laurie; her dear best friend, Vesta Alvarado; her beloved dog and faithful companion, Goldie; along with numerous other relatives, friends, and loved ones whose lives were made brighter simply by knowing her.

De’s life was a beautiful reminder that kindness costs nothing, love is meant to be shared, and even the smallest moments can bring the greatest joy. Her gentle spirit, generous heart, and sweet smile will never be forgotten.
