Dennis Vernon Goforth of Howe, OK passed away Tuesday, December 7, 2021 at the age of 71 in his home. Dennis was born May 28, 1950 in Pomona, CA to Clifford Silas & Francis Virginia (Jackson) Goforth. He was a Koren veteran of the US Army.

Dennis lived in Irving, TX area, where he worked as a millwright and was a member of the United Iron Workers Assoc. His greatest pleasure was riding his beloved Harley- Davidosn…”Lucy” and sipping his whiskey. He enjoyed listening to music, dancing and spending time with his family and friends. Dennis loved and cherished his family very much. He was preceded in death by his parents; daughter, Jennifer Goforth; stepdaughter, Audum Martindale; brothers, Gary Don and Doug and sister, Mary Dean Goforth.

He is survived by his wife of the home, Dana (Gardenhire) Goforth; son, D.J.; stepsons, Nick Martindale & Justin Goodyear, all of Howe; 12 grandchildren and 3 great grandchildren; sister, Jodi & Bill Dacus of Poteau, OK; brothers & sisters in law, Roger & Paula, Ned & Debbie, Ted, Wayne & Sandra, Kenny & Anita, and his forever brother, Bobby Harris. Dennis had a host of nieces and nephews, family and friends that he loved very much.

A memorial service will be held at 2 pm, Monday, December 13, 2021 at Evans Chapel of Memories, Poteau, with Jim Cook officiating.
