Funeral Service for Dennisa Ann Hurst, 69 of Spiro, Oklahoma will be at 10:00am on Tuesday, December 20, 2022 at First Assembly of God in Spiro with Reverend Scott Harrison officiating. Burial will follow at Fairview Cemetery in Panama, OK under the direction of Mallory-Martin Funeral Home
She was born on August 30, 1953 in Sapulpa, OK to Mary Helen “Otema” (Hickman) and Dennis Smelser and passed away on December 17, 2022 in Fort Smith, Arkansas. She was preceded in death by her parents, Dennis and Otema Smelser. She was a member of Spiro First Assembly of God, was proud of her Choctaw heritage, and loved spending time with her grandchildren.
Survivors include her sons, Marshal Hurst and wife Heather and Nathaniel Hurst and wife Amelia; grandchildren, Hannah, Kenzie, Marlee, Ezekiel, Matthew, and Hope Hurst; sister, Fawn Hicks, numerous other family members and loved ones.
Pallbearers will be Shannon Bridges, Fred Kilgore, John Kenner, Bobby Eaton, Marty Akins, and Jeremy Harrison.
