Denver Evans of Summerfield, Oklahoma was born August 25, 1923 in Walls, Oklahoma to Chris and Amelia (Hollan) Evans and passed away on October 6, 2018 in Poteau, Oklahoma at the age of 95.

Dane Evans and wife Mykel of Wister, Oklahoma
Travis Tucker of Poteau, Oklahoma
One great-grandson:
Brodie Evans
One daughter-in-law:
Jackie Evans of Wister, Oklahoma
Several nieces, a nephew, other loved ones and a host of friends
He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Dorothy; one son, Chuck Evans; four brothers, Arnold Evans, Arden Evans, JC Evans, and Waford Evans; and two sisters, Verna Woolbright and Martyne Wylie.
Denver was a life-long resident of the area and was a retired Equipment Operator for the Leflore County Highway Department District #2. He was a member of the Summerfield Baptist Church and loved rodeo and roping. Denver enjoyed spending time with his family and friends. He will be greatly missed by many whom loved and knew him.
Funeral service will be 10:00 a.m., Wednesday, October 10, 2018 at the Summerfield Baptist Church in Summerfield, Oklahoma with Reverend Charles Caughern officiating.
Burial will follow in the Summerfield Cemetery under the direction of Dowden-Roberts Funeral Home of Heavener, Oklahoma.
Pallbearers will be: Family
Viewing will be from Noon until 8:30 p.m., Tuesday at the funeral home.
