Donna L. Binns, born April 5th, 1962 in Wichita, Kansas, passed away peacefully on August 7, 2026, surrounded by those who loved her.
Donna leaves behind her mother, Lebrica Binns; her daughter, Mersades Binns; her daughter-in-love, Chandra Binns; her beloved grandson, Leo Binns; and many family members, friends, and loved ones who will deeply miss her. She was preceded in death by her father, Doug Binns Sr., and her brother, Doug Binns Jr.
Donna was born and raised in Wichita, Kansas. She graduated from East High School in 1980. She worked at Tweco for over 20 years, where she worked on planes, before eventually opening her own store, The Store, which she operated for 12 years.
In 1993, Donna was blessed with her daughter, Mersades, who became one of the greatest loves of her life. They shared a fierce and unbreakable bond filled with love, laughter, and countless memories. Donna later retired in 2018 to focus on her health and spend more time with the people she loved.
Donna enjoyed the simple things in life. She loved being with family and friends and took pride in caring for her yard and plants. She enjoyed her music, watching TV, women’s baseball and basketball, and her daily trips to Walmart. She cherished her friends and was very proud of the friendships she made throughout her life. She had a special love for peace signs, frogs, crystals, and the Lord.
Above all, Donna cherished her family. Her grandson, Leo, held a very special place in her heart. He was her pride and joy, and the two shared a sweet and unforgettable bond.
Donna had a personality all her own. She was strong-willed, stubborn, funny, caring, incredibly determined, and strong. Her kindness, generosity, and big heart touched many lives. She was a hard worker who always gave her best and took pride in everything she did. No matter what challenges life placed in her path, Donna never gave up.
Funeral Service for Donna Binns will be at 12:00pm on Tuesday, August 11, 2026 at Freedom House Fellowship in Heavener, OK with Sam Dyer officiating. Burial will follow at Monroe Cemetery in Monroe, OK under the direction of Evans & Miller Funeral Home of Poteau, Oklahoma.
