Donna Teresa (Ritter) Dehart of Heavener, Oklahoma was born March 3, 1948 in Heavener, Oklahoma to J.B. and Lena Derotha (Elder) Elliott and went home to be with her Lord on May 4, 2018 in Poteau, Oklahoma at the age of 70.

 

She is survived by:

One daughter:
Elise Dedmon of Heavener, Oklahoma

One son:
Wes Ritter and wife Misty of Shady Point, Oklahoma

Five sisters:
Doris Evetts of Heavener, Oklahoma
Lana Hood of Heavener, Oklahoma
Norma Davenport of Heavener, Oklahoma
Elaine Yandell and husband Ronnie of Heavener, Oklahoma
Vicki Cyrus of Bossier City, Louisiana

Four grandchildren:
Karli and Tyler Dedmon of Heavener, Oklahoma
Colton and Rylan Ritter of Shady Point, Oklahoma

Several nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends

 

She was preceded in death by her parents, J.B. and Derotha-Elder Elloitt and her first husband, Cleo Ritter.

 

Donna was a 1966 graduate of Heavener High School, a graduate of Carl Albert Junior College, and received her Masters at East Central State University.

 

She was a Beautician and owned Triple R Rolling Skating Rink. Donna was a dedicated teacher, where she retired from teaching from Heavener and Poteau Public Schools.

 

She continued her teaching career and was currently teaching at Carl Albert State College in Poteau.

 

She loved being a seamstress, planting flowers, and spending time with her family and friends. Her grandkids were the light of her life.

 

Donna was an avid Oklahoma Sooners fan especially for Baker Mayfield.

 

Donna was a loving mother, sister, aunt, grandma, and friend.

 

She will be deeply missed by many.

 

Funeral service will be 10:00 a.m., Tuesday, May 8, 2018 at the Heavener First Baptist Church with Brother Don Cherry and Brother Brock Hardin officiating.

 

Burial will follow in Heavener Memorial Park under the direction of Dowden-Roberts Funeral Home of Heavener, Oklahoma.

 

Pallbearers will be: Family

 

Viewing will be from noon until 8:00 p.m., Sunday; 8:30 a.m. until 8:30 p.m., Monday. The family will visit with friends from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m., Monday evening at the funeral home.
