Earl John Box of Summerfield, Oklahoma was born July 28, 1935 in Summerfield, Oklahoma to Alvis and Alice (Shipman) Box and passed away December 6, 2020 in Fort Smith, Arkansas at the age 85.

Jerry Box and wife Barbara of Cameron, Oklahoma
James Box and wife Shelia of Arkoma, Oklahoma
Jackie Box and wife Barbara of LeFlore, Oklahoma
Four sisters:
Betsy Jones and husband Vernice of McAlester, Oklahoma
Louise Loyd and husband Wylie of Stringtown, Oklahoma
Lillian Oliver of Seminole, Oklahoma
Irene Earls of Arizona
Two brothers:
Delton Box and wife Joyce of Mineral Wells, Texas
Robert Box and wife Janice of Nicut, Oklahoma
Several grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and great-great-grandchildren
Numerous other relatives and a host of friends
He was preceded in death by his parents; his first wife, Dola Box; his second wife, Judith Box; two sisters, Lorene Macaroy and Viola Hopkins; Two brothers, Charles Box and Ladrell Box; and a granddaughter, Christine Pearson. Earl was a life-long resident of the area and a retired auto mechanic. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, and spending time with his family.
Funeral service will be 10:00 a.m., Wednesday, December 9, 2020 at Dowden-Roberts Funeral Home Chapel with Brother Hank Miller officiating. Burial will follow in Summerfield Cemetery under the direction of Dowden-Roberts Funeral Home of Heavener, Oklahoma.
Pallbearers will be: Ricky Wheat, Stanley Loyd, Rodney Duncan, Paul Brown, Mike Poor, and Dempsey Poor
Honorary Pallbearers will be: Brook Pearson, Sammy Sinclair, Jerald McBride, and Carlos Henson
Viewing will be from Noon until 6:00 p.m., Tuesday at the funeral home.
